PLIDA exams certify proficiency in Italian as a foreign language and test the ability to use the language at different proficiency levels, from level A1 to level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
There are two PLIDA certification programmes: PLIDA and PLIDA Junior.
The PLIDA certification programme, which is intended for adults, offers exams for levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.
The PLIDA Junior exams, on the other hand, are dedicated to girls and boys between the ages of 13 and 18. The PLIDA Junior exams are built taking into account texts and contexts of language use appropriate to the candidates’ age. The exam levels offered in the PLIDA Junior certification are A1, A2, B1, and B2.
PLIDA exams are held in more than 300 Exam Centres in more than 60 countries. Every year, tens of thousands of people around the world sign up for PLIDA exams.
